Nina 1st book made bank....good story telling will get me every time...it's a feat for a 1st writer doing such a good job especially with this billionaire genre...the pros....storyline can continue with the mysterious death of Nikolai's 1st wife....who could turn out to be Sidney 's eldest sister her drunken mother mentioned..Naya continues her involvement with Derek whose locked up...cons....spelling errors and the story could have been longer with more details about the mysterious Nikolai and more on the death of Sidney's father....good 1st novella.
Ok, I really love a great romance with a bit of mystery so there was a really good basis for both in this book. I would have liked the book to be longer to show more about Nikolai's past and what could have happened to his first wife. I also would have wanted to see more of the relationship between Naya and Derek and a little more of what led to her attempted suicide( like her finding out about the pregnancy or Derek denying he fathered the baby or being bullied at school.) I also would have liked to see more from Mel's character and even more about their mom as she clearly has some demons that maybe occurred before the marriage to their father. What are really Janet's intentions for warning Sidney about Nikolai? I am not a fan of cliffhangers at all that force you to buy 7 books before you can get the full scope of what happens in the end. I don't feel that there is a cliffhanger but I have more questions than answers upon completing this book. These are just my opinions and I always like to be truthful when reviewing something. There were a few editing issues but those never seem to bother me so it doesn't take away from the book. Again, great first book and great concept but I wanted a little more which is why no five star rating. I would definitely read another book by Nina Ford!
I received this book as an ARC book in exchange for a honest review. Nickolai and Sidney made an interesting couple. This was a good book filled with lots drama, romance and mystery. Sidney made for a intriguing leading lady. Some things left me with questions the dead wife, the mom, Nickolai's scars and his evasion toward how he got them. Can't wait for the next book. An enjoyable read.
Sidney's unfortunate circumstances has my heart melting for her. She is a strong woman who would do anything to protect her family. The grammar was alright, but at times it seemed as if the author is trying to write "ghetto" and it didn't come off right. Sometimes I wonder that is not needed and proper English would have been best. I really hope their would be a second book because I really would like to know more about Nikolai complicated past. I had little hints here and there but it only wet my appetite; as I assume that is what the author intended. The epilogue only make me wish for more; seeing what is transpired from another secondary character point of view make the wanting of this book to continue heightened. I am looking forward toward the next book.
This book was really good. Sidney met someone from a different background of hees. They had there ups and downs in the ralationship, but made it through. I look forward to the next book that comes out in this series.
I really loved this book, it was well written and erotic.The love and friendship between the characters was awesome. Nikolia was sexy, loving and thoughtful, he was willing to take of care a whole family, they made a wonderful couple.
Fabulous, I couldn't put it down.
